Like Ricky Bobby said, “If you’re not first, you’re last.”
When you run a real business, you learn really quick that trying to perfect an idea or concept is the fastest way to lose momentum.
The winners aren’t the people who never lose. They’re the ones who lose as fast as possible so they can figure out the recipe for success while everyone else is sitting on the sidelines too scared to make a move.
I’ve learned some of my best lessons from losing. It wasn’t fun at the time, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Every loss taught me something I couldn’t have learned any other way.
People love to celebrate the winners, but history wasn’t built by people who never failed. It was built by the people who refused to give up. The ones who kept showing up after everyone counted them out. The ones who refused to back down or dim their light because they were scared of what someone else might think.
If you’re losing, good.
It means you’re moving.
Just make sure you’re learning faster than you’re losing. That’s where winning starts.
Maybe God isn’t using your victories to build you. Maybe he’s using your losses.
